Manuela Ruault

Painting on Glass

Manuela Ruault, originally from Normandy in France, came to Wales many years ago. Here in Swansea she found the inspiration to become an artist. When she is not working as a french teacher she spends most of her time painting. She is known locally for her painting on glass. She transforms ordinary pieces of glass into very colourful and attractive art by using vitrail paint, outliners, beads and other objects.

You can see her work in every funky craft fayre, other local craft fairs and daily in the Mumbles Art & Craft Centre which is situated at the rear of the shop "Treasure" on Newton Rd in the Mumbles.

Manuela also paints with oils, her favourite subject being the French country landscapes, using knifes and also brushes. They are bright colourful paintings with incredible texture. Manuela's next exhibtion will be during the month of September 2005 in Mumbles Art & Craft Centre. Details of further exhibitions will be posted on this site in the near future.
